Timber recovered from a port — material built for resistance, for load-bearing, for prolonged exposure to water and weather. It carries that history in its weight and its surface. Denser than wood collected elsewhere, marked differently: salt, pressure, time. Surfaces left exactly as found — no cleaning, no treatment, no removal of what accumulated. The pieces were selected for what they already were. Assembled in a fragile balance that acknowledges the mass it holds.
